Green Apple Art Center students have had an engaging summer so far! In June and July, students participated in the Vintage & Handmade Society Market and TEDxYouth@Granville Island. As the summer continues, we look forward to more artistic adventures, fostering creativity and nurturing the talents of our aspiring artists at Green Apple Art Center.
A group of students from the Art Hope Foundation participated in the TEDxYouth@GranvilleIsland event on Saturday, June 24, 2023 for stage design. Brian led the team of students, and they started the process by brainstorming, testing, and developing. The team then went through production before the event to test everything out. This is the second year that Art Hope Foundation students have joined TEDxYouth for stage design, and the students did an amazing job!

Known for its reputation as Vancouver's premier cultural hub, Granville Island's unique charm is augmented by its rich and diverse artistic, culinary, and maritime history. These various facets connect together to form the island's distinct identity.
On Saturday, July 8, 2023, students from the Art Hope Foundation participated in the Vintage & Handmade Society (VHS) Market at the Downtown Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza.
VHS Markets organizes community retail pop ups for local vendors to meet, share, and shop from April to September.
For those who don’t know, Art Hope Foundation provides an opportunity for students to raise awareness of the importance of community service and share the joy of volunteering. The charity bazaar event encouraged young artists from Vancouver to donate their artworks for sale, and the profits will be donated to the UBC & VGH Hospital Foundation by the end of the year. This time, Art Hope students received nearly 200 art donations!
Green Apple participated in the Vintage & Handmade Society (VHS) Market! Our team shared information about ongoing summer term programs and promotions, and also participated in sales during the event.
