AP Exam Results Released

First and foremost, congratulations are in order to the outstanding students from Green Apple Art Center who achieved a perfect score of 5 in the AP Art exam. As we all know, AP Art has always been an important examination for many high school students to showcase their skills. Many students who have been studying and excelling in art since their early years will use the AP Art exam to gain extra points for their college applications, thus supporting their Ivy League aspirations.

Alongside the announcement of the results, the officials have also released this year's data, revealing that achieving a score of 5 is not an easy feat! Every year, our students who consistently achieve perfect scores of 5 don't rely on last-minute efforts, but rather on long-term accumulation and dedication. Of course, regardless of the outcome, the most important aspect is the process of hard work. AP scores are just a part of college applications. Portfolios, essays, and school grades are equally important.

What is AP ART?

AP (Advanced Placement) is a program organized by the College Board, offering high school students an opportunity to study college-level courses during their high school years. The program aims to provide students in the United States, Canada, and even worldwide with the chance to engage in academically rigorous coursework and earn college credits for corresponding courses upon entering university.

AP primarily targets universities in the United States and Canada. When applying to colleges, institutions consider students' performance in AP exams as a measure of their preparedness for university-level studies. After enrolling in college, AP courses can be converted into college credits, allowing students to bypass repetitive coursework and explore more advanced or alternative subjects. Therefore, studying AP courses is common and essential for North American students, especially those aspiring to attend prestigious Ivy League universities.

The art AP courses offered by GAAC specifically cater to students interested in pursuing AP Art subjects, focusing on 2D Design, 3D Design, and Drawing. Throughout the course, students are trained in conceptual thinking, research gathering, foundational drawing skills, and techniques for creating three-dimensional artworks.
